The NorQuest Makerspace is a place to learn through exploration, innovation, and creation.

Sewing, Stitching & Crafts in the Makerspace

There are sewing, stitching, and crafts available in the Makerspace when it is open, including:

  1. Stitch & Share crafting group
  2. A sewing machine
  3. Knitting needles and crochet hooks

Stitch & Share

Stitch & Share is a crafting group for NorQuest students! Join us once a week to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or even just colour in our colouring books. You can bring your own project or get started with our supplies. No experience necessary - a variety of friendly staff members will take turns teaching new skills.

Sewing Machines

The Makerspace has some supplies, including fabric and thread, available for learning to use the sewing machine. If you wish to complete a larger project, we recommend bringing your own material.

Knitting Needles & Crochet Hooks

The Makerspace has a variety of knitting needles and crochet hooks in different sizes. You can sign these out for 3 weeks (with up to 4 possible renewals).

The Makerspace has some supplies, including yarn, available for learning to how to knit or crochet. If you wish to complete a larger project, we recommend bringing your own material.
