Sewing, Stitching & Crafts in the Makerspace

There are sewing, stitching, and crafts available in the Makerspace when it is open, including:

1. A sewing machine
2. Knitting needles and crochet hooks
3. Mending and weaving tools

Sewing Machines

The Makerspace has some supplies, including fabric and thread, available for learning to use the sewing machine. If you wish to complete a larger project, we recommend bringing your own material.

Knitting Needles & Crochet Hooks

The Makerspace has a variety of knitting needles and crochet hooks in different sizes. You can sign these out for 3 weeks (with up to 4 possible renewals).

The Makerspace has some supplies, including yarn, available for learning to how to knit or crochet. If you wish to complete a larger project, we recommend bringing your own material.

Mending & Weaving Tools

The Makerspace has a variety of tools for mending and weaving, including:

• Mending tool kit
• Darning egg (for mending socks)
• Weaving card set (for tablet weaving/card weaving)

The Makerspace has some supplies, including yarn and thread, available for learning to how to mend clothes or weave. If you wish to complete a larger project, we recommend bringing your own material.
