In the OBE process, the emphasis is on assessment criteria that clearly model the way for task evaluation, but not assessment tasks themselves; in fact, the criteria outline what has to be done to demonstrate the learning outcome has been met (e.g. minimum requirement), grading criteria that specify standards, and general criteria indicating level of performance (Learning outcomes and assessment criteria, 2018).
