Resources for Writers

Getting Started

People respond to a writing assignment in a variety of ways.  Some people have so many ideas that they have trouble focusing their work.  Others have no ideas at all, and spend hours staring at a blank screen with writer's block.  Some people plan everything they want to write, then don't know how to get it written.  Others just start writing without a plan, and then struggle to organize what they have.

We have some tips to help you get started and overcome these kinds of difficulties!  We can help you understand your assignment, so that you know exactly what you're supposed to do. We also have advice on planning your time so that you can meet your due date. If you need help generating ideas or creating an outline to organize your thoughts, we have resources for that, too!
