Resources for Writers

Writing Tips

Most writing assignments, no matter how big or small, and no matter what your topic might be, have the same general format:

1. Introduce your topic to your reader

2. Give the reader your perspective, or thesis, on the topic

3. Provide evidence or information to support your thesis

4. Wrap things up and conclude your writing

All of these parts work together to create a successful piece of writing. The resources in this section will help you master introductions, thesis statements, paragraphs, and conclusions.
