NorQuest College Black History Month

An online repository to showcase and consolidate materials and resources regarding Black History Month at NorQuest College.

New this year is BHM merchandise available at The Core (the NorQuest College bookstore) starting February 1, 2024.

 

Merchandise being sold includes postcards made by students at the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre's printmaking program ($2.50), tote bags ($15), and mugs ($20).

             

Proceeds from sales will go towards a SHINE bursary for Afro-Black-Caribbean students.

Students in two of NorQuest's Business Communications classes created infographics as part of a Community Service Learning project during the month of February. Participants' goal was to inform and educate people about Black History Month in general, as well as advertise specific events.
