NorQuest Library Basics

A guide to accessing and using library resources when off campus..

Only current NorQuest students and staff are able to access online resources from off campus.  Because of this, you will be required to login to view ebooks or journal articles through the library's website. 

When you search for resources in OneSearch, you will see this link at the top of your search results:

This link appears at the top of the page when you are trying to access library resources when searching in our catalogue. It says 'Hello Guest. Click here for full access,' and will take you to the Portal where you can log in to see the full text of the item you are looking at.

Clicking on this will take you to the Portal where you can log in with your NorQuest email and password (like Moodle and MyQuest). If you are already logged in, you will not have to sign in a second time.

Logging into your Library Account

If you would like to log in to see what items you have checked out or renew an item, it is a different login process than the one above.   

  1. Click on the Borrow tab at the top of the homepage, then find the orange Log in to My NEOS Account button.  It will ask you for your 13 digit barcode number that is located on your student ID card.  If you do not have a student ID card, contact the library for your number.  
  2. Next, it will ask for your library PIN, this would have been emailed to you in the beginning of the year.  If you cannot remember your PIN, click the link that will re-email the number to you. 
  3. Once you are logged in you can see a list of items that you have checked out, and will have the option to renew them.
