If you find a physical item you'd like to borrow, in the detailed view scroll down to the Location Items section. You'll see how many copies the library owns, how many copies are available, and any existing requests (i.e. holds). You will also see the availability status of each copy.

  • On loan: someone else has the item checked out.
  • Technical: the item is being processed or repaired by library staff.
  • Missing: the item cannot be found in the Library.
  • Lost: a patron lost the item.
  • Item in Place: the item is available to borrow now.
    • In the example below, you could visit the Main collection and find the item by its call number, 610.73 LAN.

If you cannot come to the library right away and would like the item set aside for you, or if another person has the item checked out, you can request an item. Visit the Request an Item page for more information.
