Technology Loaning at the Library

Did you know that the Library has technology available for short-term loans? This includes:

• Laptops
• Headphones - available for 3 hours
• Calculators, including scientific, financial, and graphing calculators - available for 3 hours
• Phone chargers - available for 3 hours
• Laptop chargers - available for 3 hours
• Computer mice - available for 3 days

There is a limited amount of technology available; please plan accordingly.

Laptops

The Library has 25 laptops available for 3 day loans. There are a limited number of laptops available and the 3-day loan period will not be extended; please plan accordingly.

Borrowing Policy

The laptops are only available to current NorQuest students. Staff and faculty may borrow a laptop on a short-term basis (8 hours), pending availability; for long-term or repeated loans, staff and faculty are encouraged to contact BTS.

Usage Guidelines

• Use the laptops only for learning purposes and follow all NorQuest College policies, including:
  • Digital Security Policy
  • Acceptable Use Standard
• Do not save to the Desktop; save all files to OneDrive or a USB.
• Do you need to write an online exam? If you don't have the technology to write your online exam at home, the Testing Centre can provide an approved space and reliable technology for online exams.
