Understand Cancellation & Late Policies - avoid potential fee penalties

  • If you do not show up for your exam appointment or cancel within 24 hours of your appointment start time, there may be a cost penalty. Your account will be blocked from future bookings until you contact us. See *exception below.
  • You can not show up more than 15 minutes late from your appointment start time. If you do, ProctorU will cancel your appointment and mark it as no-show, which may have a cost penalty resulting with a block on your account.
  • If something unexpected comes up within 24 hours of your exam appointment (emergency, illness, etc.), please contact testing@norquest.ca if possible and safe for you to do so, and we will cancel your booking for you. No cost penalty will occur. Once you are able to, please follow your program's deferral policy for next steps.

*Exception: You can reschedule your exam session within 24 hours notice in cases when the new writing date still falls within the time/date range set by your instructor. There would be no cost penalty in these cases. Here are some example scenarios:

  • Your instructor indicates that you must write your exam at any time of day on October 8. You booked your appointment for 3:30pm, but you have a personal emergency that you need to attend to and you know you will be late. You then re-book your appointment for 8:30pm instead. Because you are still writing on October 8, there is no cost penalty for re-booking on short notice.
  • You must write your exam on January 25 at 8:30am. Because you can book your appointment at anytime between 8:30am - 9:30am, you had booked a 9:00am appointment. However, on January 24, you realize you need more time in the morning, so you move your appointment to 9:20am. Because you are still writing between 8:30am - 9:30am, there is no cost penalty for re-booking on short notice.
