APA 6th Edition

NorQuest College uses the 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

The purpose of APA citation is to:

  • Identify (cite) other people’s ideas and information used within your paper.
  • Indicate the authors or sources of these in a References list at the end of your paper.

Check out our Learn to Research guide for step-by-step help on how to research, and these tutorials (links to come) on formatting in APA.

Book a one-on-one Writing Centre appointment for help with APA.
