International Holocaust Remembrance Day falls on January 27th, a day to pay tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and reaffirm the dangers of anti-Semitism and prejudice. The Holocaust was the systematic, government-sanctioned persecution and murder of millions of Jews and other targeted groups during WII. January 27th marks the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945.
