Your Accessibility Services Team

Welcome to Accessibility Services at NorQuest College. The Accessibility Team is committed to providing an accessible learning environment for all students and providing accommodations for students with an ongoing or temporary disability. Our team includes Accessibility Advisors, Assistive Technology, Sign Language Interpreters, and Instructional Assistants. Depending on your accommodation needs, you will meet one or many of us!

Accessibility Services are available by appointment.

If you are registered with Accessibility Services, book an appointment using the student portalcall 780-644-6130, or visit the student services reception desk on the 1st floor of CELT to book your accessibility services appointments.

Accessibility Advisors

Accessibility Advisors help you set up your accommodations, submit your documentation, and complete Schedule 4 applications. Accessibility Advisors are available by phone or MS Teams appointment only.

Assistive Technology

The Assistive Technology team loans assistive technology equipment and provides training on assistive technologies such as Read & Write, EquatIO, Dragon, Jaws, and Glean. Assistive Technology also creates, procures, and provides alternate format materials for students. 

NorQuest College is a bring-your-own-device college. Learn more about what type of device you need to be a successful student. Assistive Technology will provide you with software that is compatible with your personal device. 

Current Service Offerings

Assistive Technology Advisors are available by appointment Monday through Friday, they offer both face-to-face and virtual appointments.

For quick AT questions or troubleshooting, they are also available between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for a drop-in hour on campus and on blackboard

Sign Language Interpreters

Sign language interpreters facilitate communication between individuals who may be Deaf, hard-of-hearing and/or hearing.
