At this point in time, we are unaware of a software being used College-wide.
The general approach to plagiarism and academic integrity at the College is more educational in nature - because students have many different levels of experience when doing research, it is important to make sure that they learn the skills to do proper research. Much of the relevant research in academic integrity education points to this approach being more effective than software alone. Knowing the process is key especially if they want to, for example, move to a post-secondary program or not end up with a charge of academic misconduct on their transcript (which would affect any study visas if they are an international student). A recommendation is using the software as an additional tool alongside education in basic research skills, which we provide in the Library.
The Library has many in-house resources to educate students, including Prevent Plagiarism, this page in the Early Learning and Child Care guide, and our Learn to Research guides.

If you are an instructor and you want to place textbooks or required readings on reserve, please contact library@norquest.ca or complete this form.
Sourcing, ordering, and processing items for the Reserve Collection can take several weeks. Please submit your request a minimum of three weeks in advance if you would like the material available by a specific date. Reserve requests are accepted year-round.
